  For sublimation paper, inappropriate storage can cause many problems in sublimation printing. No matter the unused sublimation paper, or the printed sublimation paper, we all need to know how to store it correctly.

  1. Check the sublimation paper first

  When you receive the sublimation paper, you should check the sublimation paper from 3 aspects:

  a. Whether the bag is damaged or the carton is damped?

  b. Whether the carton is deformed?

  2. Pay attention to the expiration date

  Generally speaking, the expiration date of normal sublimation paper is 7 months. So remember to use the sublimation paper you bought before.

  3. The environment of storage   

  Unused sublimation paper should keep away from the place where exposed to direct sunlight. For the ideal environment, the temperature should be 10-30℃, and the humidity is 40-70%RH. Besides, you’d better put the paper on the pallet, or it will be easy to be damped.

  Printed sublimation paper

  As we all know, the printed sublimation paper can’t be used for transfer printing at once, you need to wait at least 1 hour (the ideal waiting time is 5 hours). Then how to store the printed sublimation paper?

  1. You’d better store the printed paper in roll size

  2. Put the roll printed paper into a loose bag, and keep it upright. Remember, keep the mouth of bag opening, then the moisture will be more easy to be evaporated.

 3.The printed sublimation paper should be stored in the place where with low humidity(≤55%RH), and the temperature is 15-30℃.

  Only when you store the sublimation paper correctly, you can fully utilize the sublimation paper and sublimation ink.

Something about Tacky Sublimation Paper

  Sticky sublimation paper, means the sublimation paper with sticky on one side, and this side is the printing side. For sublimation printing, the sticky sublimation paper has it’s advantages and disadvantages.

  Advantages:

  The sticky sublimation paper can help you avoid the ghosting, especially when you use the stretch fabric or you use the flat heat press machine. Because when you use the roller heat press machine, paper and fabric are firmly stick to each other from the beginning to the end, there’s no chance that they will separate in the process.

  Disadvantages:

  1. The price. Compared with fast dry sublimation paper, the sticky sublimation paper is more expensive.

  2. The drying speed. Because there is a sticky coating on the printing side, so the sticky paper usually dries slower than the fast dry paper.

  3. The transfer yield. Our non-tacky sublimation paper could deliver the 96.% sublimation ink to the substrate, the tacky sublimation paper is 95.7% .

Why Sticky Sublimation Paper Dry Slower Than Fast Dry Paper?

People usually divide the sublimation paper into to types: the fast day sublimation paper and sticky sublimation paper. Fast dry sublimation paper can be used in most of the conditions. The sticky sublimation paper are mainly used for fabric like lycra,polyester with spandex、polyester with cotton(<30%).

One of the biggest difference between sticky paper and fast dry paper is the drying rate. As we all know, the sticky transfer paper usually dry slower than the fast dry sublimation paper. But do you know the reasons?

The sticky paper has a sticky coating, it can adhere to the textiles very firmly, and it can help the paper and textiles not moving during the printing. There are many advantages of sticky sublimation paper, such as high transfer rate, good drying time, sharp text and fine lines as there is no movement between paper and fabric…

What Is the Difference Between FW90gsm and FBS88g Sublimation Transfer Paper?

   With the same ink loads, which one is better? The FW 90gsm sublimation transfer paper? Or the FBS 88gsm? According to our customers’ requirement, we did a test.

If you want to print something with high quality, you’d better choose the high-weight sublimation paper. But when you use the high speed printing machine, the production rate is more important for you, and you can choose the low-weight sublimation paper.

  Many people may ask that why low-weight sublimation paper can more suitable for high-speed printing machine. It is because when we use the high speed printing machine, the color of the images will be very light if we use the heavy weight sublimation paper, because the speed is too high, the sublimation ink can’t fit well with the paper. But if you use the low weight sublimation paper, this problem can be solved.
